My
Story

From Writing 100 Songs to Building a Life Around Creativity

Creativity has always felt like home to me. Growing up between New Jersey and New York City, I was surrounded by music pouring out of subway stations, murals covering brick walls, late-night conversations about art, people bold enough to build lives around what they loved. That energy taught me that creativity isn't reserved for a select few...it's something we're all capable of when we're willing to trust ourselves.

By the age of seven, I'd challenge myself to write 100 songs. Without access to formal music lessons, I learned through curiosity, persistence, and making things before I knew how. That mindset eventually led me to Berklee College of Music, where I studied Contemporary Writing & Production and Music Business.

But the biggest lessons came after graduation. Working alongside artists, producing music, leading creative projects, and supporting independent musicians showed me that talent is only one piece of the puzzle. The artists who thrive aren't simply the most gifted...they're the ones who understand who they are, continue developing their craft, and build careers that reflect that.

That experience shaped the way I approach every artist I work with. I believe great artists aren't built by following someone else's blueprint. They're built by discovering who they are, developing their craft, and having the courage to create from a place that's deeply their own.

What Guides My Work

The ideas that shape my music, my teaching, and the way I support artists.

I believe every artist already has a voice worth developing. My role isn't to tell you who to become...it's to uncover what's already there and give you the tools to express it with confidence.

Autumn Shae Studio

Where music, mentorship, and creative development meet.

Autumn Shae Studio brings together every part of what I do...from the music I'm creating to the artists I have the privilege of working alongside.

Whether I'm teaching a lesson, mentoring an artist, or writing songs of my own, everything is rooted in the same belief: creativity grows when we're willing to trust our voice, develop our craft, and create from a place that's genuinely our own.

It's work I'm grateful to do every day.

In The Works

love me like i love new york.jpg

I'm currently creating Love Me Like I Love New York, a dance floor love letter to the electric highs and gritty lows of life, love, and self-expression.

Inspired by my love for the city I call home, I began writing the project while feeling deeply homesick and navigating a life-altering breakup that forced me to rediscover who I was. Through soulful house, hip hop, and nostalgic disco influences, the album explores feminine power, vulnerability, movement, heartbreak, and the beauty of choosing yourself again and again.

Creating this project continues to remind me of the vulnerable work artistry asks of us. As creatives, we have to dig deep. We can't ignore parts of ourselves that hurt, evolve, long, dream, or break open...because that's often where the most meaningful art begins.

Being an artist myself deeply shapes the way I approach music coaching, artist support, and artist development. I understand the courage creativity asks of us not just from the outside looking in, but from lived experience.

With love & grit,
